Lately there has been a big boom on “eating beautiful” cookbooks. Unfortunately, many of these books contain some odd ingredients that you just can’t find anywhere! Others require you to spend hours in the kitchen when you’d rather be spending your time doing something else. Well, you’re in luck. I know of a simple, easy to follow recipe that’s a great way to indulge your sweet tooth while taking care of your skin! This recipe contains walnuts which are very rich with omega-3 fatty acids that help soften and plump your skin. It also produces an anti-inflammatory effect which helps calm any “angry” skin. The recipe only contains four ingredients so you can make it in no time! One of my favorite aspects of the eating beautiful brownies is they’re “no cook.” You don’t even have to turn on the oven! How much simpler can you get?
No cook walnut brownies
Yields 16 brownies
Five ounces pitted dates
Ten ounces raw walnut pieces
One fourth cup raw cacao (or cocoa) powder
Two teaspoons vanilla extract
Place the dates in warm water. Let them soak for ten minutes to soften.
Using a blender, blend the walnuts and cacao powder until everything is finely ground.
Drain the soaked dates and squeeze out any excess water. Add them to your blender with the vanilla extract. Process this mixture until it sticks together and forms a ball. Add up to two tablespoons of water if you wish for moister brownies.
Line an eight inch square baking pan with wax paper. Press the brownie mixture into a pan by using wax paper.
Cover the pan with plastic wrap and place in your refrigerator to chill for two hours.
Enjoy the no bake brownies that are good tasting and good for your skin!
