Pumpkins are great for your skin. They help scrub away any dead skin cells. It is excellent for exfoliating. Sweet potatoes are also wonderful at promoting healthy and happy skin cells. Add some yogurt to the mix, and you’ve got yourself a nice, anti-bacterial, moisturizing face mask. Here’s all you need to know to make one in the comfort of your own home:
One tablespoon pumpkin. Canned pumpkin works fine but be sure it’s 100% pure pumpkin. Don’t use the pumpkin pie filling.
One tablespoon sweet potato, mashed
One teaspoon honey
One tablespoon Greek yogurt (full fat)
Pinch of turmeric (optional, but your skin will be slightly stained for a few hours.)
Mix all the ingredients together in a bowl until well blended. Make sure your skin and neck are clean before you apply to your face and neck. This mask can be goopy, so it’s best to apply it with your fingers over the sink.
Let the mask sit on your skin for ten to fifteen minutes. After the time is up, rinse with warm water. Follow up with your favorite facial moisturizer.
All done! How does your face feel now?
