If you’ve been pulling an all-nighter studying, partying with friends, or got a bad night sleep, you may look worn out and not feeling one hundred percent. So what are you to do? There is no magic product that makes you look completely rested, but there are some great things you can try to help you look rested.
Go for a dewy face oil. This is often overlooked when it comes to looking your best after a long night. Throughout your day, you’re losing water by breathing, going to the bathroom, and even sweating. All that water loss adds up after a while. As you know, drinking water is important to healthy skin. The first thing you should do after a sleepless night is drink a glass of water. This helps your body on the inside and the face oil helps you on the outside. Doing both plumps up your skin and keeps you from looking sallow. For a dewy face oil, try looking for something with a chia oil, omega fatty acids and astaxanthin which is an antioxidant that skin loves.
Go for a good face mask. If you have the time, you can make one yourself or use your favorite store bought face mask. Look for a face mask that exfoliates and brightens your skin. Applying a face mask only takes 10-15 minutes but the benefits last all day.
What’s your pick-me-up scent? Have you smelled fresh coffee and immediately felt awake? There is a powerful connection between scent and your brain. You can use this trick to your advantage with aromatherapy. Peppermint, eucalyptus and citrus are all stimulants which can help kick your brain into action before you even have that first cup of coffee.
These are just a few tricks to make sure you feel your best even when you’re running low on energy or sleep. What works best for you? Let us know in the comment section.
